Shadow

Lavender lilies spring from the spring,
Watching as the mermaids sing.
Screeching their songs of woe,
For the world.
Burning fumes of fog,
Wallow and whirl.
Drowning out the wishes of onlookers,
Seeing with blind eyes in shadow.
