"Falling Leaves of Wisdom" By Elexer Lyra

Falling Leaves of Wisdom
By Elexer Lyra

Leaves shine my soul
into a spotlight of wanderlust.
Their warmth contrasts the
wind giving them their voices-
full of crackling.
Invisible eyes have seen the
best and worst of this world.
As they fall they bring their wisdom
to us that everything ends
and everything returns to the Earth.
The body will one day sprout flowers.

"Unspoken"by Elexer Lyra

Unspoken

by Elexer Lyra

Twisting thoughts
on parchment paper
wings,
flutter through the
hearts
of overactive souls.
 Body full of
words unwritten,
run from heart
to head,
pulsing to be
spoken.

"Grasp Your Stars" by Elexer Lyra

Grasp Your Stars

by Elexer Lyra

You are more
than your work.

You are worth
the effort.

Play with your ball,
lay on your back,
and see the stars.

Grasp them
with your unleashed mind.

"Sky of Never-ending Wishes" by Elexer Lyra

Sky of Never-ending Wishes

By Elexer Lyra

As I go,
know,
I love you.

I will not
leave
for long.

You will see
my shadow,
and hear
my song.

The brush
against
your leg,
the weight
on your feet,
the scratching
at the door,
more than your
memories
of me.

Though now
is hard,
and I understand
why,
keep your head up.
Your dreams belong
in reality
and not
in the sky
of never-ending
wishes.

"Caught In Numbers" by Elexer Lyra

Caught In Numbers

By Elexer Lyra

Caught,
In-between fighting,
For my individuality,
And fighting,
For my future.

In the end,
Will I only be a number?
The number
Of tattoos I have,
The number
Of piercings I can have,
The number
Of how many times I think I've messed up
While others say it's okay.

Statistics make up this world,
And,
Make me feel stone-faced.

How do I make the statistics work for me,
Instead of,
Making my heart race
Under the intensity
That I will never be good enough?

Which is funny,
To me,
Because I think everyone else is.

"Cinders" by Elexer Lyra

Cinders

By Elexer Lyra

Scolding pencil tips
melt into my veins.
A cauldron is alight
to hone the fire
of pen and paper,
lit by moonlight.
Hair catches the flame
and fills the brain
with motion,
until the body glimmers.
The last stroke makes me
cinders.

"Dancing With Succulents" by Elexer Lyra

"Dancing With Succulents"
By Elexer Lyra

Silent strokes
Of dancers
Feet,
Floating
Through air
With sweet
Longing.

For Summer’s,

Drying dreams
Of Gaia’s
Ice,
Melting,
In earth,
To meet
Lips quenched.

Coral Dust

Coral Dust

By Elexer

Chilling brush of wind
Rips my buds
From within
And builds them into mountains
Of sparkling,
Coral dust.

Filling me with fruitful
Awakenings
Of tea complete in youthful
Gatherings.

Delicate powder
Wrapped tightly
To bring power
In nightly
Slumber.

Visions of Stillness

Visions of Stillness
By Elissa Rosenthal

Purple silk brushes my face
like fingertips.
Hovering over my eyes
the intertwined cells
grasp one-another
with their warm embraces.
Scents of floral perfumes
engross me
and float my subconscious mind
to a habitation
of spectacular honey.
Let me nest
with this passion
in these visions
of stillness.

Cries of the Stars by Elissa Rosenthal

 Cries of the Stars

By Elissa Rosenthal

Delicate vibrations within sound-waves
carry me throughout the stars.
I touch their whispering,
golden, and lingering
wishes for their sisters
and brothers,
as they grasp within the ether.
Their firing furnace hearts beat for knowing whether
they're family will ever
be together,
once more, in the spaces
of times
and trials.
Miles
and thousands of years
apart,
they are greeted with only the sound of their heart.

Luck of a Dragonfly by Elissa Rosenthal

Luck of a Dragonfly
By Elissa Rosenthal

Take my good luck
into your peace of light.
Willing hopeful wishes
into your grand fortnight.

Release the lucky spark
to others in your world,
for I have given you
a time to make your pearl.

Chances

Chances
by Elissa Rosenthal

As the light in the stars glow bright,
our bright ones turn dim.
People of all colors,
now all look the same.
It does not matter your background.
We see the stars glimmer bright,
and forget that they are us.
For we are them in further form,
even though we are still a mess.
Organized chaos surrounds everything in this universe,
keeping the balance while creating chances.
Chances to expand and become more than,
who we are.
More than manufactured manikins.

Spirit's of The Damned

Spirit's of The Damned
By Elissa Rosenthal

Let me slumber among those who weep out of longing,
Cure those who wish those harm,
Keep my way clear of humming,
Catch those who keep alarm.

Make my way for those who weep,
Slumber and sleep keep coming,
Say your woes of marry meet,
Never think lightly of summoning.

You through me aside and wished me well,
Kept the sleep on cleaning,
Cleaning your lies and will to live,
Kept me harnessed to seeking.

Seek out my soul,
I do wish you well,
Never meet my cunning.

Slumber meet all,
I will not tell,
The lies will keep on coming.

Shadow

Shadow
By Elissa Rosenthal

Lavender lilies spring from the spring,
Watching as the mermaids sing.

Screeching their songs of woe,
For the world.

Burning fumes of fog,
Wallow and whirl.

Drowning out the wishes of onlookers,
Seeing with blind eyes in shadow.
