Backstabber

 Backstabber
By Elissa Rosenthal

You turned your back on me,
when I needed you the most.
Stabbing knifes into the life,
you treated like a ghost.

Why do you dare,
to call yourself my friend.
You have not been for years,
hardly were near the end.

You only talked to me,
when you needed to not feel alone.
But later when I called you,
I was left crying in my home.

Why do you dare,
to call yourself my friend.
You have not been for years,
hardly were near the end.
