"Today is a Beautiful Mess" By Elexer Lyra

Today is a Beautiful Mess

By Elexer Lyra

Today is a beautiful mess.

Desk full of useful clutter
given no place to officially be,
but a spot I know where it is.

Headphones are on one side
on top of small blankets of paper,
on the other a lamp is having a
conversation with a stranded
bottle cap.

 Ginger candy is hiding under
a coupon sheet,
wanting to be eaten,
but my mind rejects as
a slight throbbing occurs under
damp, long, and heavy hair.

"Welcoming Autumn" By Elexer Lyra

Welcoming Autumn

By Elexer Lyra

Fox of mellow nature
meet the windy
autumn of your ancestors.
The once young leaves
now fall
as you will once
your time comes.
Embrace the quite
letting go of
worries
made by the
soundproofing
which has fallen
and is now underfoot.

"Mother Luna" By Elexer Lyra

Mother Luna

By Elexer Lyra

Mother Luna,
love and light,
create the sky
I see tonight.
Guide me through
my painful nights,
in hope that I will
be alright
in the end.
You are my forever
friend
of reflecting day.
Glistening the sorrows
and mind trips away,
you listen
to the inner creases
of my mind.
Reminding me how
you are a kind
pool of whispers,
telling me now
that I am beautiful,
no matter what
the thoughts
say.

"Listen to the Ocean" By Elexer Lyra

Listen to the Ocean

By Elexer Lyra

Coastal waters
of understanding
wash over me
in a blanket
of gratitude
and warmth.

As your lips move
and mine
stay silent.
Your words are threads
of fishing line
tying my mouth
shut.

"Mazes of Success" by Elexer Lyra

Mazes of Success
By Elexer Lyra

Turning paths of
metropolis
circles in meditative
mazes of thought.
Motivational posters
for the finish line
with no hint of it's
location.
Found only by those
who kneel,
dig with bare hands,
forget the maze,
and find the tunnels
lined with gold.
